As I said in an earlier post, this week, life got in the way of the writing. I still reached 88% of my week’s target, which is not bad going, but it means I will need to do some catching up this coming week. I am also writing an exam this week, so actual writing time is going to be a bit tight.

So, targets going forward will be a little different. I will work on an over-all target of reaching 58k by 1 August 2008, which means I need to write 10k in the next 2 weeks. I have to be finished by then, because I fly out to my conference on the 3rd.

But, if things go according to the way they are laid out in my head, writing the additional 10k will bring  me to the end of the story. I am not going to force a wordcount though, but will rather write to finish the tale, so if I find that I have finished in less than 10k, I am not going to try and force in more words :)

When I come back, I will do all the edits suggested by my two current readers, and fill in all the plot gaps they may have highlighted. Then I will give the MS another once over, just to make sure I haven’t missed anything. But I also do not want to over-edit.
