There can only be one!!

I got some new Lego Minifigs (Series 10) today, and, as always, a couple of duplicates. I had some fun playing with them on my desk after assembly.

And so, we come to the end of November, and the end of a photo a day. It’s been fun again, but I am glad that I didn’t commit to a longer period of time.

I made a thing. An eating thing perfect for the hot weather we’re experiencing.

What’s in it:

• 1 tin Caramel treat (caramelised condensed milk)
• A bit of milk
• 1 large tin litchis in syrup
• 250ml cream
• 1 ½ packet of Tennis (coconut) biscuits

How you do it:

1. Mix the caramel with the milk and blend well until it is slightly runny.
2. Drain the litchis, but do not discard the syrup. Break up the litchis into smallish pieces.
3. Place a layer of the tennis biscuits into a fridge tart friendly dish, and spread a layer of the caramel mixture over the biscuits.
4. Spread half the litchi pieces over the layer of caramel, mixing slightly.
5. Repeat the layer of biscuits, caramel and litchis. Top with another layer of biscuits.
6. Evenly pour about ¾ of the syrup over the entire dish.
7. Whip the cream to a thick spreading consistency. Spread over the top layer of biscuits. Decorate with whipped cream and cherries and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

I baked biscuits today.

I used to bake all the time. I am not sure why I stopped, but I realised that I kinda missed it, so I will try and bake more often again.

Been taking some medication recently that's left me feeling a little blah, so not much other than Lego going on at the moment. This too will pass.

My guy, best friend and Peter Pan. This year we are celebrating 17 years together – mind blowing – and we still have as much fun together as we did 17 years ago.

3 characters to watch out for

These are based on both real-life characters as well as fictional ones.

The Hero

He is cool, he is suave, and everyone thinks he’s just awesome. And when there is a crisis, he is there to save the day. But sometimes, you get the feeling that he may have set the crisis up in some way, just so he could ride in at the last moment to save the day.

The Brain

He knows everything. If you want to know anything, from building aqueducts to nuclear physics, he’s the guy to ask. He is smart, and funny, and very, very intimidating. But if you want good conversation, or to learn something really interesting and obscure, talk to him. Because, oh god, no-one else will, in fear of his very sharp wit.

The Joker

He’s funny, and everything thing can be turned into a practical joke. You’re afraid to shake his hand at times, and may crack a very inappropriate joke in the middle of a very serious meeting or right when the monster attacks.
