[picture source] | We had some puff pastry and frozen berries in the freezer, and adapted a recipe from an old cook book to make this lovely berry tart. Very tasty and easy to make too. Ingredients - 1 puff pastry crust.
- 2 cups of mixed berries. I mixed some sour cherries in as well.
- 2 cups boiling water
- Berry-flavoured jelly. I used Mulberry.
- 1 Tin (397ml) condensed milk
Method Prepare the crust – I learnt this means baking it first for about 25 minutes on 270C. - Cook the berries in 1 cup of boiling water.
- Dissolve the jelly in the other cup of boiling water.
- Mix in the berries. Allow to cool.
- Mix in the condensed milk, blend well.
- When it starting to set, pour into the crust and place it in the fridge until set.
