Woke up to some severe cold this morning.
And I know that 3C is not that cold. I know it gets colder in the rest of the world. However, the houses in South Africa are typically not built for this weather. Our house, in particular, becomes a doorway to a cold hell when the temperature drops below 10C. You see, our house was built in the 1930s, and has many little holes and cracks for the cold to sneak through. So, when the temperature drops, the only safe place is bed.
But, I also would like to draw your attention to the little ‘Realfeel’ indicator. –4C. –4!! That is just about as cold as it was when we were in Salzburg earlier this year, at the foot of the snow-covered Alps.
