Memories! I had been a big fan of The Mission, Love and Rockets and The Cure for a couple of years but had never really identified this "thing", this Goth idea until Benoit gave me the two Sisters of Mercy albums at the end of 1988. That was it then. Once I realised that all of these bands that I had always loved belonged to this one genre, I was sold.
