NaNoWriMo officially starts at midnight tonight. This means today is the last day of sanity for a month before the madness that is 1600+ words a day brings.
At least this year, I know what to expect, so I feel a little more prepared for this than I did last year. I still don't have a plot outline, or character sheets or anything else for that matter, other than the short little note I wrote for myself the other night. But, I have arranged for a steady supply of chocolate, and have warned my colleagues that November I will be less productive than normal.
My daughter also signed up yesterday for the YWPs, so I do have a writing buddy, which helps a lot.
I have decided, however, that I will not be posting wordcounts to this blog, but will use Twitter instead. I may, on the odd occassion, post snippets (should I produce words I like) and other random NaNo-related things. Regular posting will resume after the end of November.
Are you ready?
