I know that many writers believe in reading a lot of books about the craft, but I tend to prefer spending my precious reading time reading fiction. That said, there are a couple of books I have read that have helped me a little with the writing thing. These are the ones I can remember, which obviously means they made some kind of an impact:
On Writing by Stephen King Read more about this book... |
Stephen King's Danse Macabre by Stephen King Read more about this book... |
How to get published in South Africa: A guide for authors by Basil Van Rooyen Read more about this book... |
I am not generally a big Stephen King reader, but I really did enjoy On Writing tremendously, and remember Danse Macabre, despite reading it more than 15 years ago.
